Since 1991, North Counties Drywall Inc. has provided interior/exterior metal stud framing, drywall installation and plastering services for commercial and public works projects, office buildings, schools, detention centers, hospitals, libraries, wineries, hotels and large residential developments throughout the Bay Area counties of Sonoma, Napa, Contra Costa, Alameda, Solano, San Francisco, Marin, Mendocino, Yolo and San Mateo. The company is bondable and fully insured. NCD understands the complexities of large government contracts, commercial, and public works projects. North Counties Drywall is a woman owned, union company, with sufficient manpower to complete large and demanding projects.
Diane Merlo, President and Chief Executive Officer with extensive finance, administration and accounting experience in the construction industry. 25 years of experience in the contruction industry has given her the ability to improve operations, impact business growth, reduce costs and improve productivity and efficiency all while maintaining a high level of service to our customers and clients. To do this, Diane has relied on her exceptionally experienced staff and highly skilled field personnel.
Rich Merlo, Vice President and Responsible Managing Officer for sales and project management, has over 35 years of personal experience in all phases of large construction projects. North Counties Drywall has provided its services in well over 800 projects, all of which Rich was actively involved. Rich takes pride providing hassle-free, tightly managed services while maintaining an accessible, direct and non-bureaucratic relationship with clients. His "get-it- done" attitude and pride of accomplishment has enabled North Counties Drywall Inc. to successfully undertake highly challenging projects requiring creativity, expertise and professionalism.

Melissa Medina-Smittcamp, current Payroll and Safety manager, has been employed with the company for close to 9 years. As Payroll Manager, she is responsible for human resources, certified payroll reports, coordination of document flow and records. As Safety Manager she ensures that NCD, General Contractors, and other subcontractors onsite work in conjunction to provide a safe work environment for our field crew is essential. Melissa is a bilingual college graduate that stays current with OSHA regulations and policies. Her goal is to also bring women and diversity into the field construction workforce.
Curt Dunkle, Controller, has over 25 years experience in the construction industry in finance management and accounting. As controller he is responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable, budget management and cost control analysis. Curt is well versed in the industry's leading construction software, California state and U.S. federal agency contract procedures and payment protocols.
Dennis Thomas, Head Estimator and Project Manager, has been with NCD for 12 years and has over 20 years of construction experience. He is knowledgeble in all phases of construction; budgeting, materials ordering, creation of timelines and coordination of project construction and finishing. Due to his hands on work in the field he knows what it takes to start and successfully complete a project on time and in budget.
Fred Burbage, Estimator and Project Manager, is a 30-year veteran in construction and a long standing NCD employee.
Janeen Levo, Assistant to Estimating Department, helps coordinate flow of documentation between Estimating and our customers.
